The small resham motifs are woven rather than stitched on, so they sit flat against the fabric and don't add any extra weight to the pallu or body.
How the Resham Weaving Comes Together
Fine resham threads are woven directly into the yellow body in small, evenly spaced motifs, giving the saree texture you can feel rather than just see. The pallu switches to a soft pink base with a painterly floral print running along its length, finished with thin zari lines at the border and delicate pink tassels at the edge.
