Net is a sheer, open-weave fabric that gives this saree its characteristic lightness and flow. Because it's semi-transparent, the embroidery and bead work show up from both sides, making the saree look as striking from the back as it does from the front. The fabric doesn't cling but maintains a structured drape when pleated correctly.
