The Black Kodi with Mirror Work Blouse features a deep V-neck with two rows of kodi (cowrie shells) and coloured mirror tiles — circles, squares and triangles — running all the way from neckline to hem, framing the centre front and turning the neckline into the design's signature. The hem carries cowrie shell flowers arranged in daisy clusters. Viscose Rayon Blend gives it a smooth, slightly shiny drape.

The Craft Behind the Kodi with Mirror Work
Kodi (cowrie shell) work is a folk craft from Gujarat and Rajasthan with deep roots in tribal traditions. On this blouse, the shells trace both sides of the deep V-neck in twin rows, interspersed with coloured mirror tiles in geometric shapes. At the hem, they're clustered into daisy-shaped flowers with a central bead — the kind of detailing that reads clearly from across a room.

Is the kodi and mirror work hand or machine applied?
All kodi (cowrie shells) and mirror tiles on this blouse are hand-applied. The shells are individually fixed along the V-neckline and at the hem — minor variations in placement are natural to handwork.
Will the cowrie shells or mirror pieces fall off?
Both are firmly hand-fixed. With normal wear and careful hand-washing they hold well. Avoid snagging on zips or sharp jewellery clasps.
What does the back look like?
The back is open with a dori (cord) tie-up — you tie it for your preferred fit. The halter neck also ties at the back. The smocked side panel provides comfortable stretch.
How to wash this blouse?
Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Do not scrub the embellished V-neckline or hem directly. Lay flat in shade to dry. Avoid machine washing.
