The saree body carries scattered pink lotus motifs with green leaves, woven into the fabric rather than printed or embroidered — the design is a part of the weave itself. The pallu features large circular medallion motifs in contrasting pink, green and ivory, each enclosing a detailed lotus or floral motif. This kind of jacquard weaving is precision craft: every medallion is shaped on the loom, thread by thread.
